It’s been a wonderfully busy start to January — one where it feels like I’ve truly been laying the groundwork for an exciting season of classes coming this spring and summer. I’ve loved hearing from so many of you, especially those enquiring about my beginner patchwork workshops and the new intermediate-level classes. That connection and curiosity mean more than I can say.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has recently subscribed, joined a class, or followed along with my creative journey over the past year and into the New Year. If you’re new here — welcome to the world of Anne Morgan. I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
About me: I’m a passionate craft and workshop instructor, specializing in patchwork, quilting, and sustainable sewing. I love creating welcoming, hands-on classes that inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage makers of all levels to design and create beautiful, wearable, and meaningful pieces.
I really encourage you to see these classes as an invitation to step back into your creative mojo this year. Making time to create — with your hands, your ideas, and your curiosity — can be such a powerful reset.
On that note, I’m especially excited to introduce a four-evening Quilted Vest Course, held on weekday nights. This is a course I’ve been wanting to offer for a while, and it’s designed to give you a deeper insight into how I design and make my own work. All materials are included, making it a brilliant way to fully immerse yourself in the process and simply enjoy the making.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to pattern cut, quilt your own fabric, and use construction and sewing techniques to create a beautiful, wearable piece of art — a vest that’s entirely your own.

Alongside teaching, I’ve also been spending time sampling and developing new work this year. I’ve been exploring how quilting stitches can echo and speak into landscape-inspired pieces, working on a slightly larger scale to give the stitching space to breathe and really be seen. This kind of slow, thoughtful sampling feels like the perfect way to begin the year.
So I’ll leave you with a question: what are you hoping to make this year? And might this be the year you join me on the vest course?
